Below the Surface

Search for moray eels, banded shrimp, clownfish, and schools of yellow-striped snappers and pufferfish. In the shallows, you'll find schools of sergeant majors, barracudas, and bigeyes. Just 5m deep, you can spot a large colony of brain coral at the entrance to the gully. Early in the season, squid farms (large bundles of bamboo) can be seen and large squid often visit.

Above the Surface

There are hiking trails and nice viewpoints in the area. It is also a popular area for rock climbers, snorkelers, and picnickers.

How to Get There

Driving is the easiest way to get there. Parking is available but is limited on busy days.

Buses from Keelung also stop along the main road.
