PADI Equipment Specialist

Learn how to properly take care of your equipment and perform basic maintenance to extend the life of your gear!

Do you know how your regulators work?  Would you know what to do if your BCD starts leaking?  What is the best way to properly clean and dry your gear before long-term storage?  

During the PADI Equipment Specialist Course, we will answer these questions and more.  Students will get a chance to handle and even disassemble some parts of their gear under the supervision of a Dive Instructor.  

Topics covered during the course:

-Cleaning Techniques

-How First/Second Stage Regulators work

-How Pressure Guages work 

-Checks and Maintenance the diver is able to do

-Gear Troubleshooting techniques

Learn more about your gear, how it works, how to prevent problems, and how to deal with problems that occur! 

Time Frame

The PADI Equipment Specialist is a non-diving course so can be done in 3 hours at Fun Divers Dive Shop.

Equipment

Students should bring their own equipment to the course, but they can also use our equipment.

*This course is NOT a brand-specific certification course, it is only general information and a chance to see how some of the gear works as well as what you CAN do on your own. 

*Full gear maintenance should still be done by a certified professional.
